Lori has been practicing yoga since 2001 and quickly fell in love with the practice.  After the birth of her second son in 2009, she decided it was the time to deepen her practice and enroll in a Yoga Teacher Training program.  She received her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) designation from Yoga Alliance in 2010 and has been teaching ever since.

While Lori began teaching primarily Hatha, Vinyasa and Ashtanga styles of yoga, she soon realized that her true passion was in prenatal yoga.  Having practiced through all three of her pregnancies, she understands the benefit of a regular practice on how we carry and birth our babies, as well as our recovery following birth.

To further her education, she sought out Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training with Laurel Hicks of Mindful Mamas Prenatal Yoga.  In addition to her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher designation, Lori completed an additional 85 hour program, specializing solely in teaching the expectant mom.  She now carries the designation of Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT-85) and is registered as such with Yoga Alliance.

After completion of her specialized prenatal training, she began teaching expectant moms and enjoys helping them to see the beauty in their changing bodies and the miracles that are being created.

Lori and Earthside Yoga are proud to:
⭐ Be the longest standing prenatal yoga program in the area for 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙖 𝙙𝙚𝙘𝙖𝙙𝙚!!
⭐  Have seasoned, prenatal-certified teachers with well over 15 years of combined experience teaching expecting mamas.
⭐ Have taught over 𝟭,𝟮𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 and counting!

Lori also teaches Mom and Baby Yoga and Healthy Core and Floor classes.  These classes, best started in the 4th trimester, are a great way for moms to reconnect with other women in the same stage of life while safely returning their  bodies to proper function and strength following pregnancy and birth.

To better serve her postpartum mamas, Lori became a certified MUTU System™ Pro.   MUTU System is for women who want their bodies to look, feel and function better after having a baby. Even if it’s a long time since having a baby. They want a core and a pelvic floor that works, that feels right and that does its job.

Lori is also certified as a Yin Yoga instructor, which focuses on the release of fascia and connective tissue through well propped poses, held for extended periods of time.   This style of yoga can greatly improve range of motion and ease pain in the physical body.

Additionally, Lori has training with myofascial release work having trained with the RAD Roller system of myo tools.  She loves to thread multiple modalities into her classes, including myofascial release.

Lori has been married to her best friend Rob since 2004 and is blessed to be the mother of three beautiful children, Ben, Jonah and Kelsey.  She believes in building community with other expectant moms and truly believes in our bodies and the birth process.
